I was born and raised in California. Lucky for me, natural beauty and outdoor adventure have never been far from home. Mountain biking and rock climbing have been favorite pastimes for over 20 years, but it was my discovery of river guiding that changed my life. It took me throughout the Sierras, down the Grand Canyon, and defined most of my waking moments every summer for years. It was a beautiful thing. And then one day a friend asked, “So, what do you do in the winter?”
That’s when it hit me: I needed to find a place where I could have just as much fun and adventure in the winter as I could in the summer. It didn’t take long for me to land in Truckee, and to realize I had found the place I would call home. That was 20 years ago!
Today, I lead a wonderful life in North Lake Tahoe with my wife Erin, twin sons, Granite, River, and daughter Violet. I chose a career in real estate just so I could help others find this same quality of life, and the job has never let me down. In fact, some days are so good I have to pinch myself.

Born and raised in the Bay Area, Melissa graduated from San Jose State University with a Communications/Marketing degree. While in college she was honored by being selected as the Most Outstanding Collegiate Member in Alpha Phi Sorority. Upon graduation she traveled extensively around the world and worked in the banking and hospitality industries, before settling at a boutique firm in downtown San Jose specializing in integrated financial, estate and tax planning services. During her tenure Melissa held several roles in the company and after receiving her real estate broker license in 2000, she became the V.P of Real Estate and Mortgage Services. In her 13 years with the company she and her team of advisers worked with thousands of clients helping them achieve their personal and financial goals.
Melissa loves adventure and moved to Truckee to embrace an active lifestyle and the beautiful surroundings. In her free time she loves enjoying good food/wine/movies/TV, gardening, spending time with friends & family, and a love for design and creating beautiful spaces which she applies to staging homes.

Rebecca graduated from Cal State San Bernardino with a degree in History. She switched over to the Real Estate Industry in 2005 and hasn’t looked back. The opportunity to join The Val Videgain Team arose in 2016 and she has been our Transaction Coordinator for seven plus years. She loves working with clients and always goes the extra mile for them.
In her spare time, she enjoys time on the mountain with her son Jake, snowboarding for him and skiing for her. She also enjoys random road trips, hiking, and learning about the vast history Truckee offers. You will also find her watching too much football during the NFL season.
